A land of staggering contrasts — where glass towers pierce desert skies, ancient civilizations whisper through rose-red canyons, and Arabian hospitality turns strangers into family. Discover the crossroads of continents.
The Middle East is the cradle of civilisation, the birthplace of three world religions, and the stage for humanity's most audacious architectural ambitions. Here, the world's tallest building stands within sight of Bedouin camps unchanged for millennia. The same desert winds that shaped Petra's Treasury now carry the hum of hyperloop projects and floating cities. From Dubai's relentless futurism to Oman's timeless fjords, from Jordan's ancient Nabataean kingdoms to Saudi Arabia's newly unveiled archaeological treasures, the Middle East offers a journey through time itself — all wrapped in the legendary warmth of Arabian hospitality, where a cup of cardamom coffee can become a lifelong friendship.

The Middle East defies every stereotype. Yes, there are golden dunes that stretch to infinity — but there are also snow-capped mountains, lush oases, turquoise fjords, coral reefs teeming with life, and cities so futuristic they look pulled from science fiction. This is a region that builds islands shaped like palm trees, creates indoor ski slopes in the desert, commissions museums by the world's greatest architects, and preserves archaeological sites older than the Pyramids — often all within a single country.
But beyond the spectacle, it's the people who make the Middle East unforgettable. Arabian hospitality — 'diyafa' — is not a marketing slogan but a sacred cultural obligation stretching back thousands of years. Expect to be greeted with genuine warmth, offered dates and Arabic coffee at every turn, and treated as an honoured guest whether you're in a five-star palace or a Bedouin tent under the stars.

Moments that define the Middle East — from adrenaline-pumping adventures to soul-stirring encounters

Race over golden dunes in a 4x4, sandboard down slopes, ride camels at sunset, dine under stars with belly dancing and fire shows in a Bedouin-style camp.

Stand 555 metres above the earth on the world's tallest building's observation deck. At sunset, watch the city transform from golden desert to glittering metropolis.

Walk through the Siq canyon lit by 1,500 candles, emerging to find the Treasury glowing in amber light under a canopy of stars. Absolutely magical.

Bob effortlessly in the lowest point on Earth — 430 metres below sea level — while slathering yourself in mineral-rich therapeutic mud. An only-once experience.

Sail on a traditional wooden dhow through Oman's dramatic limestone fjords, spotting dolphins, snorkeling in crystal waters, and feasting on fresh fish aboard.

Float silently over Mars-like sandstone formations at dawn, watching shadows dance across the Valley of the Moon as Bedouin camps awaken below.

Step inside what National Geographic called "the most beautiful building on Earth" — a torus-shaped marvel exploring AI, space travel, and humanity's tomorrow.

Gaze at an unpolluted sky blazing with stars from beside 2,000-year-old Nabataean tombs — Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site, sister to Petra.

Wander beneath Jean Nouvel's "rain of light" dome housing masterpieces spanning 12,000 years — from Monet and Da Vinci to ancient Mesopotamian artefacts.

Stand before the last surviving Ancient Wonder of the World — 4,500 years old and still staggering. Explore the Sphinx, enter the Great Pyramid, and ride camels across the plateau.

Navigate ancient souqs overflowing with saffron, frankincense, gold, and handwoven textiles. Taste street-side shawarma, sip Arabic coffee, and haggle for treasures.

Freefall at 200 km/h with the Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, and the entire Dubai skyline spreading beneath you — the world's most photogenic skydive.
Seven countries, countless wonders — each destination a world unto itself

Our Dubai-Oman trip was absolutely phenomenal. Dubai's skyline literally took our breath away, but it was Oman that stole our hearts — sleeping under the stars in the Wahiba Sands desert camp, swimming in emerald wadis, and cruising the Musandam fjords with dolphins. Aiir Travel planned every detail perfectly. We didn't have to think about a single thing.
Walking through Petra's Siq and seeing the Treasury emerge was genuinely one of the most emotional moments of my life — I had tears in my eyes. The Wadi Rum Bedouin camp was magical, and floating in the Dead Sea felt surreal. Aiir Travel created an itinerary that balanced adventure with relaxation perfectly. Jordan is now my favourite country in the world.
We took our three kids (ages 6, 9, 13) on the UAE Family Adventure and every single day was a winner. Ferrari World had them screaming with joy, the desert safari was thrilling yet safe for kids, and even the cultural visits were made fun by our amazing guide. The hotel choices were perfect for families. Already planning our return!
Everything you need to know about travelling to the Middle East
The ideal time to visit most Middle Eastern destinations is October to April when temperatures are pleasant (20–30°C) and perfect for outdoor exploration. Dubai and the Gulf states are best from November to March, with December-January being peak season for events and festivals. Jordan is wonderful from March to May and September to November — spring brings wildflowers in Wadi Rum, while autumn offers comfortable hiking weather for Petra. Oman is perfect from October to April. Egypt is most comfortable from October to April. Summer months (June–August) bring extreme heat (40–50°C) in Gulf countries but offer significantly lower hotel prices (30-50% off), fewer crowds, and most attractions are air-conditioned. Ramadan timing varies yearly — it's a unique cultural experience but some restaurants close during daylight hours.
Visa requirements vary by country and are generally straightforward: UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi): Indian citizens can get a visa on arrival for 14 days if they hold a valid US visa/Green Card, UK residence, or EU Schengen visa; otherwise, a pre-arranged e-visa (14 or 30 days) or tourist visa through a sponsor is needed — processing takes 3-5 working days. Oman: E-visa available for Indians (10 or 30 days), processed in 1-3 days. Jordan: Visa on arrival available at Amman airport; the Jordan Pass (includes Petra entry) waives visa fees. Saudi Arabia: E-tourist visa now available for 49 nationalities; Indian citizens can apply online — 1-year multiple entry. Qatar: Indian citizens need a pre-arranged tourist visa (or visa-free with valid US/UK/Schengen visa). Bahrain: E-visa available for Indians. Egypt: Visa on arrival or e-visa for most nationalities, including Indians. We provide complete visa assistance — documentation, application, processing, and follow-up — as part of every package.
The tourist destinations we feature are very safe. The UAE and Qatar are consistently ranked among the safest countries in the world — violent crime is virtually non-existent, streets are safe to walk at any hour, and security infrastructure is world-class. Oman is renowned for its extraordinary hospitality and ranks as one of the world's most peaceful nations. Jordan has a strong tourism infrastructure with dedicated tourist police, and has been welcoming visitors safely for decades. Saudi Arabia has invested heavily in tourism safety and security. Bahrain and Egypt's tourist areas maintain strong security presence. General tips: respect local customs and dress codes, avoid photographing government buildings, and carry your passport. We provide detailed safety and cultural etiquette guides specific to each country, and our 24/7 support team is always available during your trip.
Dress codes vary by country and setting, but modest, respectful clothing is appreciated everywhere: Dubai & Abu Dhabi: Western clothing is perfectly acceptable in hotels, malls, restaurants, and tourist areas. At beaches and pools, swimwear is fine. In shopping malls and public areas, shoulders and knees should ideally be covered. Mosques: Women must cover their hair, arms, and legs (abayas are provided free at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque). Men should wear long trousers. Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia: Modest clothing is recommended — loose-fitting clothes covering shoulders and knees for both genders. Women don't need to wear a headscarf in most public areas except mosques, though carrying a scarf is wise. Beach resorts: Swimwear is fine at hotel pools and private beaches everywhere. Desert activities: Light, breathable layers with closed-toe shoes. We provide destination-specific dress code guides with every booking so you always feel comfortable and confident.
Alcohol availability varies significantly by country: Dubai: Widely available at licensed hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs — Dubai has a vibrant nightlife scene with world-class lounges and beach clubs. You can now also buy alcohol from licensed retail shops with a personal license. Abu Dhabi: Available at licensed hotel venues and increasingly at select restaurants. Bahrain: The most liberal Gulf state with alcohol available at hotels, restaurants, bars, and retail shops. Qatar: Available at licensed hotel venues and a government-run retail store. Oman: Available at licensed hotels and restaurants in tourist areas. Jordan: Relatively liberal — alcohol available at restaurants, hotels, bars, and shops throughout the country. Egypt: Widely available at hotels, restaurants, and shops. Saudi Arabia: Alcohol is not permitted in any form. Important: Public intoxication is an offence across the Gulf. We advise responsible consumption and always inform guests of local regulations at each destination.
Here's our recommended minimum durations: Dubai only: 4–5 days for highlights, 6–7 days for a comprehensive experience. Abu Dhabi add-on: 2–3 days pairs perfectly with Dubai. Complete UAE (Dubai + Abu Dhabi): 7–8 days. Oman: 5–7 days for Muscat, forts, desert, and Musandam; 8–10 days for comprehensive exploration including Salalah. Jordan: 5–7 days for Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum, and Dead Sea; add 2 days for Aqaba diving. Saudi Arabia: 7–10 days for Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla. Qatar + Bahrain: 4–5 days combined. Egypt: 7–10 days for Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel; add 3–4 days for Red Sea. Combined trips: Dubai + Oman works beautifully in 10–12 days. Dubai + Jordan is fantastic in 10–12 days. A grand Middle East tour covering 3–4 countries needs 14–21 days. We always customize based on your available time and priorities.
Absolutely! The Middle East, especially Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is one of the world's most family-friendly destinations. Dubai offers an incredible range of family attractions: Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis (the region's largest), IMG Worlds of Adventure (world's largest indoor theme park), Legoland Dubai, Motiongate, Ski Dubai (an indoor ski slope with penguins!), Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, and KidZania. Abu Dhabi adds Ferrari World (world's fastest rollercoaster), Yas Waterworld, and Warner Bros. World. Gentle desert safaris are suitable for children 3+. Beach resorts offer kids' clubs and supervised activities. Oman provides gentle adventure with beach resorts and turtle watching. Jordan's desert camps are exciting for older kids. All Gulf countries are extremely child-friendly — family is at the heart of Arab culture — with excellent healthcare facilities, safe public spaces, and high safety standards. We design age-appropriate itineraries with family hotel selections, manageable activity schedules, and built-in rest time.
Middle Eastern cuisine is a feast for the senses and one of the highlights of any trip! Must-try dishes include hummus, falafel, shawarma, tabbouleh, fattoush, lamb mansaf (Jordan's national dish), machboos (Gulf spiced rice), Omani shuwa (slow-roasted lamb), kunafa (sweet cheese pastry), Arabic coffee with dates, and incredible fresh seafood across coastal cities. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are global dining capitals with every cuisine imaginable — from 15+ Michelin-starred restaurants (Trèsind Studio, Ossiano, STAY by Yannick Alléno) to authentic street food at Al Dhiyafah Road and Ravi Restaurant. Vegetarian options are abundant — mezze platters (hummus, mutabal, falafel, stuffed vine leaves) are naturally vegetarian and delicious. Indian food is widely and excellently available across the Gulf given the large Indian expatriate community — from budget-friendly cafeterias to fine dining Indian restaurants. All meat is halal. Vegan and gluten-free options are increasingly available at upscale restaurants. We recommend the best dining experiences at every destination and accommodate all dietary requirements.
Absolutely! Multi-country trips are among our most popular offerings and the Middle East's compact geography makes this very easy. Popular combinations: Dubai + Abu Dhabi + Oman: 10–14 days covering futuristic cities, cultural grandeur, and raw natural beauty — all connected by short drives or flights. Dubai + Jordan: 10–12 days — ultramodern glamour meets ancient wonders, connected by a 3-hour flight. UAE + Saudi Arabia: 10–14 days combining established tourism highlights with newly opened treasures. Jordan + Egypt: 12–14 days for history lovers — Petra, Wadi Rum, and Pyramids in one epic journey. Gulf Highlights (UAE + Qatar + Bahrain): 8–10 days — all connected by short flights. Grand Middle East (3–4 countries): 18–25 days for the ultimate regional experience. We handle all inter-country logistics — flights, visas, transfers, border crossings — so multi-country travel is completely seamless.
Each country has its own currency: UAE: Dirham (AED), pegged to USD at ~3.67 AED/USD. Oman: Rial (OMR), one of the world's strongest currencies (~0.38 OMR/USD). Jordan: Dinar (JOD), also very strong (~0.71 JOD/USD). Saudi Arabia: Riyal (SAR), pegged to USD at 3.75 SAR/USD. Qatar: Riyal (QAR), ~3.64 QAR/USD. Bahrain: Dinar (BHD), the world's most valuable currency (~0.38 BHD/USD). Egypt: Pound (EGP), more variable. Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) are widely accepted across the Gulf — you can go virtually cashless in Dubai. ATMs are abundant and multilingual. Tipping is appreciated but not obligatory — 10-15% at restaurants, small tips for hotel staff and drivers. Haggling is expected in traditional souqs but not in malls. We recommend carrying some local cash for souqs, taxis, and small purchases, and using cards elsewhere. USD and EUR are also accepted at many tourist-facing businesses in Dubai.
The Middle East offers shopping experiences like nowhere else on Earth — from ultra-modern mega-malls to ancient souqs: Dubai Mall: The world's largest shopping destination with 1,200+ stores, an ice rink, aquarium, and cinema complex — flagship stores for every luxury brand. Mall of the Emirates: Home to Ski Dubai and premium shopping. Dubai Gold Souq: Deira's legendary market with over 300 retailers selling gold at some of the world's best prices — you can find anything from 18K to 24K in every conceivable design. Spice Souq: Fragrant stalls overflowing with saffron, frankincense, dried fruits, and exotic spices. Souq Waqif, Doha: Qatar's atmospheric heritage market with falcon shops, perfumeries, and art galleries. Mutrah Souq, Muscat: Oman's most atmospheric market selling frankincense, silver daggers (khanjar), and textiles. Dubai Shopping Festival (Jan-Feb) and Dubai Summer Surprises (Jul-Aug) offer incredible discounts. The UAE is tax-free (with tourist VAT refund available), making luxury purchases significantly cheaper than Europe or the Americas.

"Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world."
— Gustave Flaubert, after travelling Egypt and the Middle East, 1850The Middle East is not just a destination — it's a revelation. Here, you stand at the crossroads of human civilisation, where the stories of the past echo through canyons carved by millennia and where the dreams of tomorrow take shape in glass and steel and audacious vision. The moment the Treasury of Petra emerges from the Siq's narrow canyon bathed in golden light, the instant Dubai's skyline ignites at sunset like a city from another world, the peace that washes over you floating in the Dead Sea, the warmth of a Bedouin's welcome in the silent desert — these are the moments that change you.
At Aiir Travel, we don't simply arrange tours to the Middle East. We unlock the region's soul — connecting you with the stories, the people, the flavours, and the landscapes that make this part of the world like no other. We've navigated every souq, climbed every dune, explored every wadi, and dined in every palace so that your journey is effortless, enriching, and extraordinary.
The Arabian sun is calling. The desert awaits. Your story here is about to begin.
