This 9-night, 10-day journey via the shortest route is a challenging expedition rather than a luxury tour, taking you across some of the world's highest altitudes, including the Dolma La Pass at 5,630 meters. Pilgrims should be prepared for basic accommodations, simple meals, and shared facilities in Tibet.
Despite the challenges, this yatra promises an unforgettable spiritual experience, breathtaking landscapes, and a journey that will leave a lasting impression on both heart and soul.

Your spiritual journey begins with your arrival at Lucknow Airport, where our representative will greet you. From here, you will be transferred by road to Nepalgunj, a gateway town in western Nepal, located about four hours away. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the evening is free for rest and personal activities. At 07:30PM we will have group briefing for yatra, before we embark on the sacred journey.
Note: Early arrival in Lucknow is recommended.
Early in the morning, you will take a short but scenic flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, a remote town surrounded by the Himalayan ranges (50 mins flight). Accessible only by air, Simikot is also an important acclimatization stop before entering Tibet. You will spend the day here resting and preparing for the altitude. Overnight stay will be in Simikot.
Note: Flights can get delayed or canceled due to bad weather which are not in our control. If flight is canceled one can go to Bardia National Park for day trip on their own cost. Early check-in at hotel is subject to availability.
After breakfast, we proceed to Simikot airport and board a helicopter for a short yet thrilling 20-minute ride to Hilsa, situated on the Nepal–Tibet border. From Hilsa, a brief walk takes us to the immigration office to complete border formalities. Once cleared, you will meet our Tibetan team and continue by vehicle to Purang (Taklakot), a small town in Tibet. Overnight stay will be arranged in Taklakot.
This day takes us closer to the spiritual heart of the journey. After breakfast, we drive for about one and a half hours, covering 88 km, to reach the sacred Lake Manasarovar. Considered the holiest of lakes in Hinduism, Lake Manasarovar is believed to cleanse sins and elevate the soul. Here, you will begin the parikrama of the lake by vehicle and enjoy the serene energy of the surroundings. Overnight stay will be at a guesthouse near the lake.
Note: If you need to hire a Pony/Porter for Parikrama, inform our Local Guide on this day so they can arrange it accordingly. Sometimes it could be difficult to get the pony due to High Demand & we are not responsible for that.
Stay: Very basic multiple sharing non-attached accommodation
The morning is devoted to spiritual rituals on the banks of Lake Manasarovar. Pilgrims may take a holy dip, perform pooja, havan, or meditation, and soak in the divine vibrations of the lake. After these sacred activities, we drive past the mystical Rakshas Tal and continue to Darchen, which can be considered as the base camp of Mount Kailash. Here we rest overnight, preparing for the most awaited part of the pilgrimage – the Kailash Parikrama.
Today is the day we all are waiting for! After breakfast you will be provided with packed lunch in a plastic bag which you have to carry on your own with very limited option. First we drive to Yamadwar which is like 15-20 minutes' drive & the starting point of Parikrama.
Day 1 of parikrama will be comparatively easy walk of 12km which might take 4 to 6hrs depending upon every individual. On the way get Darshan of Kailash Parwat, reach Diraphuk with devotion filled heart. Overnight at Tea House.
Note: Those who cannot do Parikrama will stay at Darchen Hotel with some additional cost. If allowed, one can visit Astapad, from where one can have very good Darshan of South Face.
Today will be the most difficult day of our Yatra, as we have to walk 22km crossing through the Highest Pass in the world "Dolma La Pass" at an altitude of 5630 meters from sea level.
Out of 22km walk, first 8 to 10km will be tough but once we cross Dolma La Pass & reach the first tea house, then it will be easy walk till Zuthulphuk. Reach there & overnight stay.
After breakfast, we complete the final trek of the Kailash Parikrama with a three-hour, 8 km trek to Chongdo, where vehicles will be waiting. From here, we return to Darchen to reunite with those who did not participate in the trek. After lunch, we drive towards the Nepal border, if time permits, we will clear immigration formalities, and cross back into Hilsa. If it is not possible then we will stay at Taklakot.
In the morning, we fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj. This day is kept flexible to account for weather-related delays in flights. On arrival in Nepalgunj, the rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight stay will be in Nepalgunj.
Note: Early check-in at hotel is subject to availability. Hotel might change due to non-availability as it's not Pre-Booked due to weather condition.
After breakfast, we drive back to Lucknow for your onward journey, bringing your spiritual pilgrimage to a close. With memories of Lake Manasarovar, Mount Kailash, and the divine experiences along the way, this journey will remain etched in your heart forever.
As your original passport will be at Delhi for Visa issuance, book your ticket using Voter ID or Aadhar Card to travel to Lucknow.
